SANG JUN YOO (SK), Disapparition, 2015

This video work investigates the end of genuine change, in status of images and sounds can be concluded as an issue of spatiality and temporality. It realizes appearances and transmissions that appears to be slowly changing or delayed movements in nature; clouds in the sky, surface of the water, tree branches, to shift and transform the spatial visibility of symbols over meanings in mundane surroundings.

Sang Jun Yoo was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1982. Lives and Works in New York, United States. Is MFA candidate in Emerging Practice and Art by State University of New York at Buffalo. He works in interdisciplinary medium in conjunction with a digital media regularly since 2008. Major exhibitions / events: Kobe Biennale 2013, Kobe, Japan, 2013; Governor’s Island Intl.
